The expansion of our facility in 2001 included a significant addition to our boarding facilities.  We offer boarding services to the public in separate dog and cat boarding areas.  We have twelve outdoor runs for dogs and these are not only covered, but have supplemental heat available in the winter.  Our facilities also include a fenced-in play area.  Our feline guests have condo-style enclosures and a “fully-equipped” playroom.  We offer both overnight and day boarding, and are happy to board your other feathered, furred, or scaled pets as well.

As an accredited hospital member of the American Animal Hospital Association, our boarding requirements are somewhat different than a non-hospital boarding facility.  If the boarder is not a current patient at the Vestal Veterinary Hospital, a pre-boarding physical examination is required.  A doctor will examine your pet to make sure there are no unknown physical problems.  This exam protects your pet as well as the other pets boarding here.  In addition, all of our boarders are required to be up-to-date on vaccines, including the Bordetella vaccine for dogs (which protects against Kennel Cough).

Boarding service fees for the care of your pets are as follows:
    Day Boarding Overnight Boarding
    Cat - $6.00 Cat - $11.00 / night
    Dog - $9.00 Dog - $16.00 / night
    Large Dog - $10.00 Large Dog - $18.00 / night
      Pocket Pet - $11.00 / night

If your pet requires medication there is a daily $2.00 administrative charge.

While we are not professional groomers, during the week we do offer some basic trimming/de-matting services as well as bathing.  If you are interested in this service let us know and we will be happy to schedule it for you.

Other add-on services available provide your pets with individual playtime and/or leash walking.  These services can make your pets’ stay with us even more stimulating.

Feel free to stop in and take a tour of our facility.  Our staff will also be happy to answer any additional questions you may have.

As always, the doctors and staff at the Vestal Veterinary Hospital look forward to being of service to you and your pets.
