Our ICU is located in our treatment area. It is a high traffic area affording regular and repeated observation by our trained technical staff. This is the area where all post-op patients are recovered from anesthesia until they are awake enough to go back to our regular hospital ward. It is also the area housing any patient that requires intravenous fluids so that they can be monitored very closely. We have four different infusion pumps to accurately deliver these fluids in small or large volumes, are equipped with a variety of external heat sources to help maintain body temperature, and can give supplemental oxygen therapy as required.
