Our surgical room is a single-purpose area, separate from the rest of the hospital, to help ensure asepsis. In addition to the obvious tables and lights, the surgery facility has two anesthetic machines and a heated water blanket. While under anesthesia, all of our patients are monitored by one of our licensed veterinary technicians. Monitoring equipment includes an electrocardiograph, a blood pressure monitor, respiratory monitor, and pulse oximetry which measures the oxygen saturation of the red blood cells.
